Jahaj Mandir

Jahaj Mandir is a Jain temple located in Mandwala village of Jalore district of Rajasthan state in India.

This is the only Jain Mandir of its kind in the world. The construction (sthapaty), imagination (kalpana-pravanata) and beauty is unmatched. The Anjanshalaka pratishtha ( opening ceremoney) of this Jahaj (ship) shaped temple was held on 30th January, 1999 by the honourable hands of Jain Monk Shri Maniprabhasagarji Maharaj . At this time, continuous amijharana flowed from the idols of Bhagwan Shantinath and pujy achary Shri Jinkantisagarsuriji Maharaj Saheb.

Idol of moolnayak Shantinatha prabhu is golden plated made of five metals (Panchdhatu). The parikar (surrounding path) of parmatma is also made up of five metals (Panchdhatu). The art used here is unmatched as per the day. Idol of Adinath Bhagwan is towards right side of the moolnayak while left consisis of Jain Tirthankar lourd Vasupujya. All the idols are 41 inch in height. Many other idols are also established at different corners of teerth.

This holy place is situated on Sayla road, 5 kms from Bishangarh ( बिशनगढ़ ), which is 15 kms from Jalore while going to Nakoda , in Mandwala village. Mandwala is a part of Jalore district, an western region of Rajasthan. The distnce of this teerth from Jodhpur is 160 kms, 85 kms from Nakodaji, 90 kms from Falna,45 kms Bhinmal & 400 kms from Ahmedabad.
