Jade, nicknamed Kool Kat, is a character in the Bratz line of fashion dolls. As one of the first four characters in the Bratz lineup, she has appeared in many 9.5" editions, as well as in Bratz Babyz, Lil Bratz, and Bratz Kidz forms. She regularly features black hair and light skin, but her eyes have varied in color from line to line. In a few editions, Jade is given the pale skin tone, and in Sun Kissed Summer and Bratz Forever Diamondz, she appears with a tan. It is suggested this character may be intended to be of Asian heritage; her eye prints are often less rounded than most other characters'. The Style It collection's Jade caused some controversy; her alternate shirt features a Chinese take-out box with a Japanese flag on it and the words "Thank You" in a stroked font, suggesting cultural ignorance on the designer's part.
