[edit] Baseball on Wikicities
Hello Jackalsclaw, Googie Man here and I want to ask you something as a fellow baseball fan on Wikipedian. Jimbo and Angela have made a new webstie called Wikicities. This link in particular will take you to the baseball Wikicity. As you'll see it's similar to Wikipedia, but my hope is this will allow baseball fans to do more and different things, like reporting on games, in depth statistics, create mulitple pages for pictures, and whatever else baseball fans care to create. You've done great work on Wikipedia and I was hoping you could help get this baseball Wikicity off the ground. Please let me know what you think either at my talk page, or you can email me at terry@wikia.com. Thanks! Googie Man(Talk), 21:37, 4 January 2006
[edit] MLB player pictures
Hi. Has anyone given you a hard time about taking pictures from http://www.mlb.com? Has this been discussed anywhere? If people seem to think it's kosher, I may start doing the same. Thanks! —Wknight94 (talk) 13:37, 4 February 2006 (UTC)
[edit] June Meetup in New York
Hi, I noticed you are characterized as a New Yorker so perhaps you might be in the NYC area in June. If you are interested we are having a meetup for Wikipedians in June in NYC. Take a peek at this and please tell any other Wikipedians that you think might be interested in participating about this event. Thanks. Alex756 02:25, 11 April 2006 (UTC)
[edit] AfD Nomination: New York Yankees Payroll
I've nominated the article New York Yankees Payroll for deletion under the Articles for deletion process. We appreciate your contributions, but in this particular case I do not feel that New York Yankees Payroll satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion. I have explained why in the nomination space (see What Wikipedia is not and Deletion policy). Your opinions on the matter are welcome; please participate in the discussion by adding your comments at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/New York Yankees Payroll. Don't forget to add four tildes (~~~~) at the end of each of your comments to sign them. You are free to edit the content of New York Yankees Payroll during the discussion, but please do not remove the "Articles for Deletion" template (the box at the top). Doing so will not end the discussion. --Canley 13:22, 25 May 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Image Tagging for Image:Melkyatbat.jpg
Thanks for uploading Image:Melkyatbat.jpg. The image has been identified as not specifying the source and creator of the image, which is required by Wikipedia's policy on images. If you don't indicate the source and creator of the image on the image's description page, it may be deleted some time in the next seven days. If you have uploaded other images, please verify that you have provided source information for them as well.
For more information on using images, see the following pages:

[edit] Image:Roborooter.jpeg listed for deletion
[edit] Unspecified source for Image:Don Mattingly.jpg
Thanks for uploading Image:Don Mattingly.jpg. I notice the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you have not created this file yourself, then there needs to be a justification explaining why we have the right to use it on Wikipedia (see copyright tagging below). If you did not create the file yourself, then you need to specify where it was found, i.e., in most cases link to the website where it was taken from, and the terms of use for content from that page.
If the file also doesn't have a copyright tag, then one should be added. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then the {{GFDL-self}} tag can be used to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Fair use, use a tag such as {{fairusein|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair_use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.
If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. cholmes75 (chit chat) 14:39, 2 November 2006 (UTC)
