In note of WP:BLP above, it seems a good idea not to libel the photographer by accusing him of photographing "young girls", the wording of which would indicate pre-pubescent girls and thereby accuse him of paedophilia. The photographs I can see are all post-pubescent and presumably are over the required age of consent for such photographs. — Dunc|☺ 12:00, 6 August 2006 (UTC)
- The photographs in Coquines are definitely not all post-pubescent, quite au contraire, and Eva Ionesco was eleven at the time of her Playboy shoot. I think it is therefore correct to state that the subject is known for photographing "young girls". Whether this statement is an accusation is a POV issue - these activities sure were legal at the time and place they were undertaken. --141.52.232.84 13:59, 6 August 2006 (UTC)

- That's a pity. But I am not a lawyer, maybe under some obscure Florida law stating evident facts is indeed punishable as libel? I'll just assume that Dunc knows what he is doing. It's also a pity that we cannot simply put the evidence here, so we are at a kind of dead end. But Wikipedia users who check the talk page will still be able to form an informed opinion from this discussion. - To my knowledge the majority of Bourboulon's subjects are teenage girls between 13 and 17, though he has also photographed adults (18+) and preteens (under 13). According to a scan provided a few months ago by an auctioneer at eBay, Conte de Fées has the following models: Nadia 18, Carita 17, Cathrine 17, Yutta 17, Astrid 16, Joëlle 16, Ritta 16, Tulla 16, Carina 15, Lorence 15, Metta 15, Sabine 15, Sandrine 15, Stephanie 15, Suzanna 15, Fionna 14, Lisbeth 14, Maria 13, Katharina 12, Helena 11, Nicole 11, Eva Ionesco 11, and Florence 10. In his pictures of Eva she has pubic hair and budding breasts and can't be considered pre-pubescent despite her age at that time. She was just precocious in that way. But I have to assume that the other girls he photographed who were 10 and 11 were pre-pubescent. I don't own any of his books so I can't confirm whether any of the models in books other than Conte de Fées are pre-pubescent. As in Conte de Fées and Coquines, Des corps naturels has a mix of ages; apparently a majority are adolescents but it does have Eva Ionesco 11 and also some females who look to be adults. His book 17 has girls who are approximately 11 to 19, and Eva is from what I understand the youngest one featured there. Bourboulon has some photos in galleries at MET-Art.com; those are all post-pubescent, primarily or entirely 18 and older. 80.58.205.33 09:24, 8 August 2006 (UTC)

- You have to use references to verifiable sources which state the age of his models. Then it is OK. In fact, if you do have sources for the information above, it would be more correct to say "teenage, and sometimes younger, girls2 or "girls between the ages of 10 and 17". I note that the text does not in any way imply that this was considered improper, and indeed goes out of its way to stress that this was acceptable in its time, but that ideas on such matters have changed since, so there is no libel stated or implied.
