Jacqui Jackson is the single parent of seven children, three adolescent girls and four boys. All four boys are on the autistic spectrum. She lives in Blackpool, United Kingdom.

Jacqui's sons are:
- Matthew - The oldest child in the family. Matthew was born prematurely and has dyslexia and dyspraxia
- Luke - diagnosed with Asperger syndrome and dyspraxia. Luke wrote a book called Freaks, Geeks and Asperger's Syndrome about his life with the condition which was published when he was 13.
- Joe - has ADHD
- Ben - The youngest child in the family. Ben was born prematurely and is autistic
In addition to her sons, Jacqui has three daughters named Rachel, Sarah and Anna.

Jacqui has a first class honours degree in social science from the Open University and has nearly completed her PhD at Coventry University in sensory issues in autistic children.

A drama called Magnificent 7 based on Jacqui's life was screened by BBC Two in 2005. Helena Bonham Carter played Maggi, the character based on Jacqui.
