Jackson County Airport (North Carolina)

Jackson County Airport is a small airfield located near Cullowhee, North Carolina in the county of Jackson. It is owned and operated by the county. The airport is situated on a ridge about 3 miles southeast of the town of Sylva (the county seat) and about 1 mile west of the unincorporated town of Cullowhee, North Carolina, the home of Western Carolina University. The airport sits at an elevation of 2,856 feet (870 meters.) The airport's traffic consists mostly of light single and twin engined private aircraft.
