[edit] Plot summary
It's Veterans Day in Point Place and Red is upset that Bob marched in the parade because he's only from the National Guard. He gets ready to throw his annual barbacue when Bob walks in and invites the Forman's to his. Red refuses telling him that he still is having his own barbecue. Back at the Pinciotti's Donna remind Midge that the Forman's are having a barbecue next door but Midge tells her that Bob's throwing the barbecue because he wants one last horrah before everyone finds out that he is going bankrupt due to the fact that his appliance store is going out of business because he can't compete with Pricemart. Donna is shocked but Midge tells her not to tell anyone because it'll hurt Bob. At first Eric is going from barbecue to barbecue eating the chicken from the Bob and walking back to Red's until Donna shows up. Donna tells him she want to talk, but instead he makes a mockery of Bob copying Red because he thinks its stupid. Donna gets upset and leaves so Eric decides to help Red crush Bob's barbecue and Donna tries her best to save Bob's pride by crushing Red's. Each tries to outdo the other until Red gets a keg and Bob gives up and goes inside. Donna heads over to the Forman's and tells them that Bob is going bankrupt and the barbecue they crushed was his last horrah. Eric feels sorry so he asks Red to send everyone next door and with a little push from Kitty he tells everyone to head to Bob's. Bob comes out of his house later and sees everone at his barbecue in shock. Red tells him what a great friend he is and Kitty tells him how sorry she feels for him which makes Bob cry. Still at his house, Eric, is trying to move the keg over to Bob with no success. Donna comes over and thanks him for sending everyone over to Bob's and Eric apologizes for being such a jerk.
Jackie asks Hyde if he wants to go to the Forman's barbecue with her. Hyde, clearly annoyed by this point by Jackie, tells her a haiku that he hates her guts and walks away. At the barbecue she brings a guy she knows, Chip, with her. Jackie talks to Hyde and see if he's jealous but he just says its cool. Hyde gets a chance to talk with Chip, but Chip tells him he's planning on just nailing her and calls her a bitch. Hyde punches him out and Jackie gets very excited, so Hyde storms into the house. Kitty asks him about Jackie and Hyde tells Kitty he doesn't like her, but Kitty tells him that he actually does. Hyde walks back outside and tells Jackie that they're going on a date right now. On the date conversation is at a minimum until Jackie tells Hyde she completely understands him, but Hyde fakes crying and then blows a raspberry in her face. Jackie tells him that they should go but he tells her he's just joking around and they probably should hang around some more which makes her scoot closer to him. At the end they share a kiss; Jackie says immeidately that she feels nothing. Hyde agrees, but not before a long moment's hesitation.
