Jack Ingram (born November 15, 1970) is a Texas-based country music singer who is associated with the Red Dirt country music scene. He first made a living touring between Dallas and Houston and releasing several independent albums before signing with Warner Music, the first of several major labels to sign him. His most recent studio album was 2002's Electric.
Ingram's chart-topping success has led to a higher profile touring schedule. In 2006, he is set to support superstar country duo Brooks & Dunn as well as country-rock crossover artist Sheryl Crow.
In 2005, Ingram signed to the independent record label Big Machine Records (an imprint of Showdog Nashville, owned by Toby Keith). Under the Big Machine banner, Ingram released his latest record, a predominantly live album entitled Live - Wherever You Are.
His first release on that record label - "Wherever You Are" - became Jack's first top 40, and later his first #1 hit after 32 weeks on the Billboard Country singles chart. The album's second single, "Love You", slowly climbed to #12. His third single, a cover of Hinder's "Lips Of An Angel", has debuted at #48 on the charts; this song will be a lead-off single for his next album.
