Jack Ellis was born in 1955 in London. He is an English actor best known for his portrayal of villainous prison warder Jim Fenner in the television series Bad Girls.

Prior to Bad Girls, his most prominent role was Det. Insp. Muddyman in Prime Suspect. His brother is the actor Robin Ellis. Jack is currently touring with Richard O'Brians Rocky Horror Show as narrator.
