Jack Dunnett

John Jacob Dunnett (born 24 June 1922) is a British Labour politician.
Dunnett was educated at Whitgift Middle School, Croydon and Downing College, Cambridge. He was a solicitor. He served as a councillor on Middlesex County Council 1958-61 and on Enfield Borough Council 1958-61, serving as an alderman until 1963. He was elected to the Greater London Council in 1964.
Dunnett was Member of Parliament for Nottingham Central from 1964 to 1974, and after boundary changes, for Nottingham East from 1974 to 1983, when he retired. After his retirement, Nottingham East was won by the Conservatives.
Dunnett was Chairman of Brentford Football Club and Notts County Football Club.
