Jack Canfora

John Lawrence "Jack" Canfora (born April 6, 1969) is an American playwright whose works include "Place Setting" and "A World With Snow". After receiving his dramatic training at the London Academy of Dramatic Arts, he began his career as an actor in regional theater, appearing in the title roles in The Toyer, as the brooding Dane in Hamlet in Heckscher Park, and roles such as Mercutio and Macbeth with New Jersey's Castle Shakespeare Rep. Canfora was also co founder of the NYC sketch comedy groups "One Eyed Maude" and "The Waiting Room." He is currently editing "You Buzzard! The Wit and Wisdom of Jean Blain" for Oxford University Press's new "Voices of the Elwood Diaspora" series.
