Jack Armstrong (born January 3, 1963 in Brooklyn, New York, USA), is the color commentator for the Toronto Raptors on Rogers Sportsnet. Armstrong was a former coach for Niagara University. In 1992-1993 he led the Niagara Purple Eagles to a 23-7 record and was named the New York State Division I Coach of the Year. Armstrong's knowledge of the game has earned him to be one of the most respected basketball analysts in Canada. In 2004, it was rumoured that Jack was going to be let go from doing television commentary due to his lack of good looks, but was retained after several pleas from Chuck Swirsky.
