J (singer)

Jung Jae Young, known as her stage name J, is a K-pop singer. A Korean-American born May 2, 1978, she was discovered in a beauty pageant for Koreans in Washington [1]. That allowed her to travel to Korea to become a singer, with her first album Gold/Blue coming out in 1998. It wasn't until her second album In Love, though, that she achieved great success, with her single 어제처럼 (Like Yesterday) going to #1 on the various Korean TV network charts. Although she has released five albums to date, they have not been near the success of her second. However, she has managed to release a digital single in 2006 and sang the theme song for Princess Hours (Goong) with new singer Howl (singer), which became a hit after the show's success.
