[edit] Career

JD competed in several other sports growing up including-- hockey (10 years), soccer, martial arts and in his senior year of high school football, he was the recipient of the HeadHunter Award for the most sacks in one season as a middle linebacker at 140lbs.

JD began wrestling at the age of 18 and broke in on the road with various veteran professional wrestlers across western Canada. He went to an evaluation at Ohio Valley Wrestling (a WWE developmental territory) in late 2004 and in late 2005 attended private workouts with former WWE/WCW/ECW star Lance Storm at the Storm Wrestling Academy in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. He bears an uncanny resemblance to WWE wrestler; Shawn Michaels and has mimicked and copied his career off Shawn down to the moves, poses and tights.

JD has worked for over 30 federations--mostly in Canada, USA and Europe. JD reportedly had to turn down a Japan tour due to visa issues that needed to be settled first.

JD recently married April Hunter (centerfold model and pro-wrestler) on August 30, 2006 in a private ceremony at The Graceland Wedding Chapel in Las Vegas, Nevada.
