J. Joseph Ricketts

J. Joseph Ricketts is the founder and chairman of Ameritrade, a large online discount brokerage based in Omaha, Nebraska.

Joseph Ricketts' son, Pete Ricketts, ran for U.S. Senate in Nebraska. He lost to incumbent Ben Nelson.

In 2005, Ricketts and his family ranked #93 in Forbes Magazine's list of the 400 wealthiest Americans, with a net worth of about $2.5 billion.
