J. Haley (dates of birth and death unknown) was a Major League Baseball catcher who played in two games during the 1880 season. According to two sources, he was born in Wheeling, West Virginia.

Haley played in for the Troy Trojans of the National League on June 22 and July 23, 1880. Behind the plate, he had eleven putouts, four assists, and five errors for a fielding percentage of .750. He also permitted seventeen passed balls. At the plate, he went 0-for-7 with a walk for a .000 batting average. The Trojans lost the game on June 22 to the Chicago White Stockings 5-2. It was played at the original Lake Front Park in Chicago, Illinois. In his second and last game the Trojans lost to the Cleveland Blues 10-2 at Haymakers' Grounds in Troy, New York.

Some of his teammates on the 1880 Trojans were Hall of Famers Roger Connor, Dan Brouthers, and Mickey Welch. Other members of the team, after Haley's assumed release, were Hall of Famers Buck Ewing and Tim Keefe.
