J. D. Harmeyer
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
J.D. Harmeyer (born in 1979) is a media producer on the Howard Stern Radio Show. He joined the show as an intern in January 2003 and is currently responsible for pulling audio and video clips from television programs and pornographic movies. J.D. graduated from the Full Sail Real World Education college located in Winter Park, Florida from which he obtained a degree in film.
As with all other Stern staff members, Harmeyer is not immune to on-air mockery, typically about his recently-lost virginity or about his Napoleon Dynamite-like voice and demeanor. During the January 2006 Stern Show Staff Revelation special, Harmeyer revealed that he had spent over $10,000 on Internet pornography, primarily to women with personal webcams. To the particular amusement of the rest of the show's staff and audience, Harmeyer revealed that his username was "Daba", short for "Da Bad Ass".
On the February 2, 2006 Stern Show, Harmeyer had a webcam "date" with "Kissyphur", where he was mocked for being quiet, unemotional, and rather aggressive with the webcam operator.
Harmeyer was the subject of the 2006 Howard Stern Film Festival entry "Eating Fruit Salad", wherein a male filmmaker masquerades as a female on MySpace in order to gain JD's affection.
On May 9, 2006, Howard mentioned on his show that he had taken Harmeyer aside to have a word with him about his excessive drinking. Apparently, Harmeyer, who was a self-professed non-drinker when he was hired for the Stern show, had made quite a scene at Stern Show newswoman Robin Quivers' staff party on May 6, 2006.

- Was the only member of the Howard Stern show staff to dislike the film X-Men: The Last Stand of those who screened it.

- Drinks Jack and Coke during the occasions when he imbibes alcohol, because his father did.
- His father has occasionally called in to the show and berated him on the air.
- Appears to be almost completely inarticulate, though seems to be quite intelligent based on selections of audio clips for Stern's use.
- Appears to be sexually aggressive ("Yeah, you suck my big fat cock") based on the Kissyphur tape and in complete reversal of expected behavior based on his usual interactions with Stern and the rest of the cast.
- When asked to name a celebrity he considers to be "a ten" Harmeyer named actress Jessica Biel, on the November 28, 2006 edition of the Howard 100 Wrap-Up Show.
[edit] Catchphrases
- "I'm bringing the sexy back" (a tongue-in-cheek reference to the song SexyBack by Justin Timberlake)
- "Uhhhh, I don't know" (usual retreat when flustered, i.e. in response to the question "We want to record you sleeping with a porn star, will you do it?")
