Ivo Vojnović

Ivo Vojnović (October 9, 1857 - August 30, 1929) is Croatian writer of Serbian ethnicity.

Ivo Vojnović was born in Dubrovnik and the city and its rich history were important influence on his literary work. He is best known for the Dubrovačka trilogija (Dubrovnik Trilogy) - three plays in which he described the fall of Republic of Ragusa. His work also dealt with motifs from Serbian history, which is the reason why Vojnović is claimed both by Croatian and Serbian literature. He died in Belgrade.
