The Sredneuralsk city is situated to the 24 km north from Yekaterinburg city, Sverdlovskaja regon, Russion Federation. It is also 8 km away from Verhnaja Pishma industrial city on the eastern side of Middle Ural. Sredneuralsk city is located on the lakeside of Iset lake ( 25 km2).

The city took possession as a official city in 17 of Fabruary 1966.

 The population of the the city is 19,6 thousand people (2005).

Sredneyralsk city has a sharp contitental climate. The avarege temperature amplitude is somewhere from -45*C to + 38*C. The average temperature in january is -16*C, in July +17,4*C. The snow cover usually stay on a surface up to 5 months from November to the middle of April. The average year precipitation is 430 - 500 mm. The city is situated on 252-278 above sea level. The coordination is 56*59'n.l.60*28'e.l.(G).

The main rock soil companents are granit and argillaceous slates. The above level of the ground is rich of detritus, loamy, and sandy light soil. There is no minerals found in the ground.

Sredneuralsk city is based on hydro-electic power station "SUGRES". The official opened in 27 of June 1931. Because of hydro-electic power station "SUGRES" many door were opened for other factories, companies and enterprises to establish themselves such as:

The education facilities is taking place in Sredneuralsk. There are 3 High and Elementary schools, 1 children garden and The Ural Metallurgical College in the city.

Also the cinema "Volna" and 1 library with collection of books of 70000 pieces. The city is connected to the main bus route. From Yekaterinburg you can get to the main city airport "Koltsovo", railway station or city subway.The route lenth from Sredneuralsk to Yekaterinburg is 25 km, in average it takes about 40-50 minutes to reach the destination. The interval between the buses in average is 15 minutes plus car service is always available.
