Ivan Tors

Ivan Tors (born Budapest, Hungary June 12, 1916 - June 4, 1983) was in his life an animal trainer, playwright, screenwriter, radio writer and film and television producer. The multi-talented Tors wrote several plays in his native country before moving to the U.S. just prior to World War II. In the 1950s he worked on a number of science fiction films that were based on science fact, including Magnetic Monster (1951) with actor Richard Carlson, Gog (1954) and Riders to the Stars (1954).
Tors also worked in film in television and film with underwater themes including the TV shows Sea Hunt, Daktari and Flipper. He was married to film actress Constance Dowling from 1955 to 1969.
