Ivan Sidorenko

Ivan Mikhaylovich Sidorenko (Russian: Ива́н Миха́йлович Сидоре́нко) was a Soviet sniper during World War II. He was Captain and Deputy Chief of Staff in the 1122nd Rifle Regiment, 334th Division, and 4th Shock Army.[1] He was involved in the famous Siege of Stalingrad. He is credited with having about five hundred kills during World War II.[2][3] This is probably inaccurate, however, as many kills were not documented, and still others were lost due to the war.[citation needed]
