The ITV Lunchtime News is ITV1's afternoon news programme, which is broadcast weekdays from 1.30pm until 2.00pm.

Its main presenters are Nicholas Owen and Katie Derham. Alastair Stewart or Nina Hossain/Lucy Owen fill in when either of the main anchors is absent. The programme features twenty minutes of national (UK) and international news, followed by five minutes from the ITV regions at 1.50pm.

Originally a thirty minute programme since its launch in 1988, it was extended to one hour in April 2005, to coincide with ITV1's new daytime line-up. ITV's daytime controller, Alison Sharman is revamping the schedule, and the Lunchtime News has moved forward by an hour, and was cut down to 30 minutes from September 4, 2006.

The BBC Press Office announced in November 2006 that Nicholas Owen has signed to BBC News 24 as a presenter, and takes up his post in February 2007. [1] Alastair Stewart will take over full-time from Owen.
