Italian Socialists

Italian Socialists was the name of a former party of Italy funded on the 13 November 1994 straight after the dissolution of the Italian Socialist Party after the corruption scandals which hit the party during the Mani Pulite investigations.. The party has been led for its short life by Enrico Boselli.
At the regional elections of 1995 the Socialisti Italiani form a list with Democratic Alliance and Segni's Pact nominated the Pact of Democrats. The result however are unpromising.
For the general elections of 1996 the Socialisti Italiani doesn't get involved actively presetting its candidates Italy's Renewal and Olive Tree acquiring in total 8 MPs.
The party's story ends in 1998 when together with PSDI and a part of Labour Federation form Italian Democratic Socialists.
