[edit] Is Iran an Arab country?
iran should be in GREEN, as it is an arab country. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 147.237.70.212 (talk • contribs) 09:58, 28 June 2006 (UTC).
Actually, it's Persian--Nog64 02:32, 29 June 2006 (UTC)
Yeah, Iran is not an Arab country, but should be marked as hostile nation toward Israel
Also Morocco and Tunis should be marked in dark green because Morocco participated the 1973 war and Tunis was attacked by Israel air forces in 1986. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Ilmari74 (talk • contribs) 10:25, 17 July 2006 (UTC).
Not to dump on someones parade here but Kuwait, Tunis and Morocco have all, at one stage or another, been at war with Israel. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 150.203.2.85 (talk • contribs) 04:37, 19 July 2006 (UTC).
[edit] Resizing the image
Revert to original version. The new version was just... awful. Corporal 07:50, 19 July 2006 (UTC)
- I've re-resized it. Hopefully now it's a little less... awful. And now you can actually see Israel.--Mr. Billion 02:09, 27 July 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Ranting
IRAN MUST BE TAKE OFF THIS MAP! IT IS NOT AN ARAB STATE. IRAN IS PERSIAN NOT ARAB. IRAN DID NOT PARTICIPATE IN ANY OF THE ARAB-ISRAELI WARS. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 82.35.35.4 (talk • contribs) .
- Typing in all caps is considered shouting and very rude. Also, please sign your posts. Seicer (talk) 00:51, 27 July 2006 (UTC)
- Iran is not marked on the map as an Arab state. As you can see, it's coloured grey, not green. ... discospinster talk 00:55, 27 July 2006 (UTC)
However, Iran is one of the named countries. No other non-Arab country is named. So why is Iran's name there? I'm re-resizing the image and removing Iran's name. --Mr. Billion 02:01, 27 July 2006 (UTC)
- I figured it was there just to show the relative positions (i.e., who the neighbours are). ... discospinster talk 14:39, 27 July 2006 (UTC)

- Right. Assume good faith please. ←Humus sapiens ну? 07:23, 4 August 2006 (UTC)
I don't know what you mean by "assume good faith". I wasn't assuming bad faith, or anything else. I just don't see any reason to have Iran's name there. It's not a neighbor of (doesn't share a border with) Israel. Turkey is not named, but is closer to Israel than Iran is. Cypress's aquatic territory probably touches Israel's, but Cypress is not named. So I still don't see why Iran needs to be named based on the justification that it's a "neighbor".
You've re-added Iran's name, Humus. I don't think this is worth arguing about, though.
By the way, Great job on smoothing out, resizing, and compressing the image. Thanks! --Mr. Billion 09:08, 4 August 2006 (UTC)
- Thank you, glad you liked it. For AGF, I didn't mean you but rather that anon screaming at the top. I have read the comment on "Iran" text after I massaged the original image that was still on my disk. Maybe we could name (but not color) Turkey & Cyprus as well. Cheers. ←Humus sapiens ну? 09:24, 4 August 2006 (UTC)
[edit] This picture...
is too amateurish looking, too pixelly. Can someone do something sleeker? It's functional and all but still... --Tothebarricades 02:39, 16 August 2006 (UTC)
