[edit] Plot
In only a few weeks before Christmas, the Winfred-Louder employees decide to go on strike to get better benefits. Drew understands the employees' probblems, but upper management makes him hire temporary replacements to keep the store running during the busy holiday season. Kate, who is also on strike, agrees with Drew that they will not let the strike affect their friendship. This agreement soon turns sour when Kate learns that Drew hired Oswald and Mimi as temporary workers in the cosmetics department. Oswald takes his job too seriously when he begins to start wearing the makeup. Drew, however, has another problem, when he and Nora have to work in the lingerie department together. The strike continues on for three weeks which forces Kate to take a job busing tables at the Warsaw Tavern. When Drew sees how desperate that Kate has become, he declares that he can no longer tolerate the upper management's decision to not become involved in ending the strike. Drew announces that he too will join the picket line to assist his fellow co-workers. As soon as Drew ends his dynamic speech to begin assisting in the strike, Larry, another employee, enters the Warsaw and announces that the strike is over as upper management has finally accepted the employees' demands. Now that Oswald is no longer needed as a temp at the cosmetics counter, he takes a job with a parcel delivery service called Global Parcel. At the show's conclusion, Drew and Lisa continue their desire to be with each other by having a romantic dinner at his house.
