Born in the southern city of Basra in 1934,
Obtained a higher diploma in sculpture from Academy of fine arts , Rome, 1962
Held six exhibition for sculpture and five exhibitions for paintings in Rome, Baghdad and Beirut.
Winner of first prize of Arab artists in Italy .
Member of Baghdad group (1957 ) and Al-Zawia group.
Teacher of sculpture in the academy of fine arts Baghdad. Al Turk is also known for bronze statues of Marouf Al Rasafi , an Iraqi nationalist poet of the 1940s, and of the famed Abbasid poet Abu Nuwas. & Abbasid painter Al wasety.
Executed several monument and statues in Baghdad like (Nusb Al Shaheed). died in Baghdad 2004.
