Islamic Resistance Movement (Iraq)

Islamic Resistance Movement (Arabic: حركة المقاومة الإسلامية) is an insurgent group in Iraq fighting against the U.S. lead coalition forces as part of the Iraqi Insurgency.
The group has a military wing known as the "20th Revolution Brigades" (Arabic: كتائب ثورة العشرين, Literally: "Brigades of the Revolution of the Twenty").
The group, previously known as the Iraqi National Islamic Resistance, was among the first groups that were formed after the occupation of Iraq, formed around August, 2003.
