Islami Jamiat-e-Talaba (IJT) (Urdu/Arabic/Persian: اسلامي جميعت طلبه, "Islamic Assembly of Students"), is a large student organisation in Pakistan. Also known as the Jamiat ("jam-ee-at"), it is one of the oldest student organisations in Pakistan, founded on 23rd December 1947 in Lahore, Pakistan. The organisation has attempted to increase the presence of Islam on university campuses across Pakistan. Its main emphasis has been on conversion of the society , particularly in students, by introducing an Islamic mindset. The IJT also supports the implementation of Shariah law on university campuses.
