Iskratel's (Kranj, Slovenia, Europe) basic activity is the development of complete solutions for fixed and mobile telephony, convergence networks, Next Generation Networks (NGN), and network management required for the communication needs of the future information society. Apart from collaboration with the partners, the Company’s business philosophy also includes support services – network design, training and after-sales support.

Iskratel is one of the top-ranking providers of state-of-the-art communications solutions, with more than 50 years of experience in the world of telecommunications. They develop telecommunications solutions for rural and suburban areas and provide complete solutions for the communications requirements of the information society.

Their key activities are focused on telecommunications networks. They have built a successful product strategy on the company's own brand of communications solutions, the SI2000 range, as well as the products and solutions of their partner, Siemens AG, the EWSD system being the main product. They are currently developing the sixth version of the SI2000 system.

In addition to products for access networks, they develop products for fixed networks. Great emphasis is placed on upgrading mobile GSM networks with GPRS and UMTS technologies. They are taking part in the intense process of network convergence by developing new products from the field of data/IP networks, where their main aim is to guarantee a secure, evolutionary upgrade of their customer's existing networks.

Their vision of development involves the co-existence of classical technologies with the technologies of the so-called new generation. Therefore, they use their own resources to develop convergence products and complete solutions as well as Next Generation Networks (NGN) based on IP (Internet Protocol).
