Ishtar TV (Syriac: ܥܫܬܪ) is a Assyrian-based broadcasting channel that is headquartered at Arbil, Iraq. The channel was lanched in the summer of 2005 and has been hailed as one of the better television channels coming out of Iraq. The language broadcasted mostly in Assyrian, but Arabic and Kurdish are heard throughout the day as well.
The name Ishtar comes from an ancient Assyrian goddess.
