Ishin Suden

Ishin Suden (以心 崇伝, 1569-1633) Ishin Suden, also known as "Konchiin Sûden". Suden acted as a religious advisor to Ieyasu Tokugawa, playing quite a large role in the development of the Tokugawa Shogunate. It is also known that Suden was a Zen monk. In the year of 1615, he drafted the 'Buke shohatto' for Ieyasu. Reading it at an assembly of Daimyo, in the region of Fushimi.
