Isabel Bloom

Isabel Bloom (February 10, 1908 - May 1, 2001) was an artist who was born Isabel Sherer in Galveston, Texas, and raised in Davenport, Iowa. She learned sculpture while studying at the Stone City Art Colony in central Iowa under Grant Wood. She met fellow artist and future husband John Bloom while studying there.

She began experimenting with concrete cast sculptures. They were very popular in Chicago, and she eventually moved her studio from her home to the Village of East Davenport.

Bloom's longtime protege Donna Young took over the sculpting design for Isabel Bloom, LLC.

Isabel Bloom LLC announced on February 9, 2006 to move production of its statues to China. On February 21, the company announced that it changed its mind about moving production to China but that they are not done exploring overseas options.
