Irony is a Dead Scene is an EP by Dillinger Escape Plan with Mike Patton, released on August 27, 2002 (see 2002 in music).
The material on this EP was recorded after the departure of the band's original vocalist, Dimitri Minakakis, but before a replacement had been chosen. By the time Mike Patton had recorded vocals and the EP was released, the band had been touring with Minakakis's replacement, Greg Puciato, for nearly a year.
The fourth track is a cover of Aphex Twin's "Come To Daddy (Pappy Mix)".
