Iron Savior is a German power metal band formed by Piet Sielck, Kai Hansen, and Thomas "Thomen" Stauch. The band has a science fiction theme to their writing. Most of their songs narrate an elaborate story about a self-aware space vessel (the "Iron Savior") related to the lost continent of Atlantis. Recently, themes include explorations of one's perception of reality and the spirit of freedom. Their style may appeal to fans of Iron Maiden, Gamma Ray and Helloween, among others.
Following the 2004 release of Battering Ram, Iron Savior have set a 2006 release date for their next album release. Currently it has the working title of 'Megatropolis'. However this now seems unlikly, as there has been no news from the band since July 2006.
