Irene Urdangarín y de Borbón (b. June 5, 2005) is the daughter of Infanta Cristina of Spain and Iñaki Urdangarin, the Duke and Duchess of Palma de Mallorca. She is, therefore, the granddaughter of the current monarchs of Spain, Juan Carlos I and Queen Sofia of Spain.
Irene also has three older brothers, Juan, Pablo, and Miguel. She is currently tenth in the line of succession to the Spanish Throne.
Irene was named after her grand-aunt, Princess Irene of Greece and Denmark, the sister of Queen Sofia.[1]
