Ireland Unfree
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Ireland Unfree is a song about an aging former Irish Republican Army soldier's memories of the 1916 Easter Rising. The picture on the wall that is the main focus of the song is of Padraig Pearse, the leader of the Easter Rising and a friend of the old man in the song.
The most popular version of this song was recorded by The Wolfe Tones, and can be found on their album, Spirit of a Nation.
