[edit] History

IRCHighway is a large IRC-network with over 10,000 users connected every day. The network consists of over 20 servers scattered all over the world and was founded in 2000 as fxpers.net. The network was later re-named irc-chat and had at the time about 150 users. Around February 2003 the network was once again renamed to IRCHighway after the split of around 1/3 of its servers. It gained the majority of its new userbase after DALNet banned filesharing channels.

[edit] IRCd and Services

The network uses UltimateIRCD and the Anope services system which consists of ChanServ, NickServ, BotServ, MemoServ, HostServ, OperServ, LoveServ, and MoraleServ.
