A member of Omnicom Group Inc. (NYSE: OMC), ipsh! is a Mobile Marketing agency based in San Francisco. The company, which operates within The Marketing Arm, was founded in June 2001 by Nihal Mehta and Mike Jelley.


Various theories have been formed as to the origin of the name - the most common being that it is an acronym for "Instant Power, Single Handed" in reference to the vast capabilities and portability of the mobile phone. Those who know the CEO of ipsh! have claimed however that it refers to "the sound made when you scratch a record" - a tribute to the DJ days of Mr. Mehta.

Whatever it means, ipsh! produces mobile marketing campaigns on a global scale including SMS, MMS, Mobile Advergaming, Application Development, Bluetooth (Bluecasting), WAP sites and WAP media planning and buying.
