[edit] Background
The Ireland Palestine Solidarity Campaign was set up on the UN Day of Solidarity with the People of Palestine (28th November) by a group of established Irish human rights and community activists, academics and journalists who were deeply concerned with the current situation in Occupied Palestine. In partnership with Palestinians living in Ireland the IPSC was formed to provide a voice for Palestine in Ireland.
Although the Campaign was initially based in Dublin, it is currently expanding into a national organisation by virtue of its membership and by the affiliation of local branches (groups) that agree to adhere to the IPSC's Aims and Objectives.
They are an independent, non-party political organisation, run by volunteers all committed to a just and sustainable peace in the Middle East.
