Ionomycin

Ionomycin is an ionophore that comes from Streptomyces conglobatus. It is used in research to raise the intracellular level of Ca2+, in research on Ca2+ transport across biological membranes.
Commercially, Ionomycin can be obtained as a free acid, or as a Ca2+ salt.
