iOffer.com is a website which allows users to put up products to sell to potential buyers. Its slogan is "an easier way to buy and sell".
The website claims that "it's not an auction, it's better". In contrast to the method used by auction websites, iOffer uses a barter system where the buyers and sellers make offers and counteroffers to each other. There is no time limit on items and therefore no chance for someone to snatch an item in the last few seconds - something which the website advertises.
iOffer was started in 2001. It was mentioned in a 2006 documentary about eBay, which referred to it as a rival website. To counter the disadvantage to sellers of opening an account on a new website where they are unknown have no buyer feedback, iOffer has a program called "Mr. Grabber" which allows users to bring over their feedback rating from its rival websites (eBay, Yahoo! auctions, Bidville, Overstock and Sell.com).
