"[Copeton Dam] is so large that when it is below 3% of its capacity during drought, it still has enough water to supply the town for up to ten years ...." Any reference for this? When I lived up that way during the 1970's drought, IIRC it got down to 25%. We couldn't go out on the dam because submerged trees created a boating hazard. But 3%!!! God almighty. Are you sure? At 3% you'll be pumping nothing but sludge and dead fish. --Jquarry 22:08, 15 December 2005 (UTC)
