I made this scan of an illustration printed on the front of a commercial auction cover, Christies, Robson Lowe, Auction Catalog cover page, December 6, 1988. The owner of the image is not stated, and unknown. The stamp is believed to be in the public domain, as it is nearly 150 years old. Also, it is a work of the then govenment of India. The scan from the auction cover page is my own, and at low resolution. The image would otherise be unobtainable. This is believed to be fair use, as it is for educational purposes and no pecuniary consideration is involved.
