My name is Mikkel. I am a political science student at the University of Ottawa in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada. I have worked for the past two years as a Page in the Legislative Assembly of Alberta, so I guess it follows that one of my particular areas of interest is politics. At the moment, I am studying to become a high school social studies teacher - ambitious, huh?.

Since joining Wikipedia, I have discovered another somewhat unusual love: bridges. I would guess that about half of my total edits are to bridge-related articles, and I cut my editor's teeth on the article on viaducts. I frequently comb the featured pictures gallery for more bridge pictures to use as my newest desktop.

Aside from all that, I am an avid photographer and lover of all things computer related. My MacBook Pro goes with me wherever I go. If you need any shots from around Ottawa, drop me a message and I'll see what I can do.
