This article was a boilerplate text provided by the International Council of Museums for free use. It appears on the Web site dedicated to the ICOM conference held in 2004, and either literally or with minor variation in countless other contexts. It also appeared in the museum article (prepared by another author) but was removed there as well. (I noticed this when returning to that article to edit out the redundancy.) The text appears on several pages with copyright notices. Without a clear statement from the author on relinquishing copyright we cannot release it under GFDL. Are you the author or the authorized agent of this body? Rmhermen 22:48, Feb 18, 2005 (UTC)
I am an authorized agent of ICOM and am the author of the parent version of the text that may well be posted elsewhere with copyright claims, but is nonetheless also mine to post here. If you require specific details about this, please contact me by e-mail. futhark 17:47, 2005 Feb 20 (UTC)
