[edit] Not a copyright violation
On first seeing this article I thought it was a copyvio from this page. However looking at the Home page of the site I read:
"Feel free to repost or reuse all public-domain materials from this site, though crediting the source and providing a link to this site would be very much appreciated. If you do use any of the graphics, you will need to download them and repost them; "hotlinking" has been locked out of this site. If you repost any of the graphics or documents, please remember to include the revision code so out-of-date versions can be recognized."
Thought this would save other people time and by adding the URL folow the conditions on the website. It still needs a lot of wikyfying though! --NHSavage 10:45, 16 September 2006 (UTC)
I found an exact copy of this text on answers.com. They do not allow free use of their material and retain copyright. Here's the text from their Legal Notices, which, funny enough, mentions Wikipedia as being ok to copy to their site:
- "The Sites remain at all times the sole property of Answers or its third party licensors, and their use is subject to the copyright and trademark notices that are found here. In addition, please note that all Wikipedia content is licensed under the GNU Free Documentation License (see "http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Copyrights" for details). All rights in the Sites not expressly granted to you by Answers under the TOU are retained by Answers."
It wouldnt' surprise me to find out that International Battlefield UAVs (2) is also copied from answers.com. CIskowitz 19:57, 23 September 2006 (UTC)
- No it is clear. Both the answers.com and our article are both from the above website which does allow reuse of the material. The same is true of International Battlefield UAVs (2).--NHSavage 17:03, 24 September 2006 (UTC)
