List of Eureka Seven episodes

"Into the Nature" is the 11th episode of the anime series Eureka Seven.

[edit] Plot summary

The episode begins with several UF military airships telling the people in the South Aires area to take shelter. They tell the public that elevated levels of trapar has resulted in a huge, spherical weather pattern anomaly.

The episode cuts to a scene with Anemone and Gulliver, who are eating jam straight from the jar. Dominic, in his new uniform, tells Anemone that it is time to move out with the typeTheEND.

In the infirmary, Mischa tells Talho that the reason Eureka isn't feeling well is primarily psychological rather than physiological. She suggests that, specifically, Eureka is experiencing problems due to problems with her link with the Nirvash.

In the galley, Renton tries to get Eureka involved in a conversation about dreams, but she tells him she's never dreamed before. Hap and Holland walk in with some news, but Eureka retreats to her quarters. Hap mentions one word: "Coralian," and the crew (sans Renton) becomes highly agitated. Talho questions the wisdom of approaching the South Aires area with Eureka in her condition, but she is overruled by Holland.

In a teleconference meeting with the Sages, Dewey and Dominic report the appearance of the weather anomaly. The Sages conclude that the activation of the typeZERO was responsible for the spherical cloud. Dewey says that this is an opportunity for them—if it had not appeared, they would not have progress toward defeating their enemy.

As the Gekko heads toward South Aires, Renton tries to find out what a Coralian might be, but he can't get an answer out of anyone that makes sense, let alone a straight answer. He asks Eureka, who denies knowing anything about that. Holland walks in, trying to keep her from joining the mission, and Eureka says that without her, no one can enter the "Zone", which is apparently a crucial part of the mission. Holland tells her she can participate only if she took Renton with her. He tells the boy that should anything happen to Eureka, he would kill him.

Dominic orders the newly-demoted Jurgens to head for South Aires. As Dominic rubs his HQ credentials in Jurgens' face, Anemone plays a childish prank on the bridge crew.

As the Gekko approaches the huge cloud, Holland tells Renton that the cloud is the Coralian he's been hearing about. Their mission is to enter the cloud with the Nirvash using a trapar slipstream generated by the 808 and 606. At the same time, the Izumo approaches the Coralian from the opposite direction. On the Izumo bridge, Anemone complains of a headache. Jurgens orders one of his KLF squadrons to launch, but Dominic tells him that's a foolish order.

Both the Izumo KLFs and Gekko LFOs report difficulties lifting in such a trapar-rich environment. One KLF crashes into the waves, sending its board through both of its teammates. Anemone, aboard the Izumo launch bay, screams that her headache is so painful that she cannot go out there. Dominic takes a device, and injects some drugs into Anemone. Almost immediately, she tells him she's ready to go.

The Izumo catches the Gekko and her LFOs on her sensors, and at the same time, Gidget picks up the Izumo. As both captains order their crews to battle stations, the Nirvash typeTheEND launches and dives underneath the Coralian. Renton expresses concern over Eureka's condition, but she tells him she's fine. Before them, a magenta-colored space—the Zone— streams past them. She brings the Nirvash closer to the Coralian, but the typeTheEND ambushes the 606, sending Matthieu and Stoner tumbling. The 808 picks them up, and the typeZERO continues on alone. The typeTheEND attacks the typeZERO, and, having captured it in its grappling cables, unloads its devastating attack on Eureka and Renton.

[edit] Trivia

Despite being very different from the KLF Mon-Soono models, Renton at one point refers to the typeTheEND as a "KLF".
