Interstitial spaces

An interstitial space is a small or narrow area that occurs between other things and is generally overlooked and undesigned. This also includes those spaces whose functional and ideological role has been marginalised because of the way these areas relate to urban development. An example of an interstitial space is the ceiling of a room.
