Auxiliary route of the Interstate Highway System
Length: 9 mi (14 km)
South end: I-695 in Pikesville
North end: MD 140 in Reisterstown

Interstate 795 (abbreviated I-795) is a nine-mile freeway linking Baltimore's northwestern suburbs of Pikesville, Owings Mills and Reisterstown, Maryland to the Baltimore Beltway (Interstate 695). I-795 is also known as the Northwest Expressway. For the first four miles, the Baltimore Metro Subway runs in the median.

Currently it is the only highway in the United States designated as Interstate 795. While there have been several proposed highways to be signed with the designation, none have received the designation (a proposed highway in Florida has been tentatively selected to receive the designation). I-795 also holds the distinction, along with Interstate 495 (Long Island Expressway) in New York, of being one of the only two tertiary Interstate spurs from Interstate 95 (i.e., spur routes that do not intersect with their parent routes). Although I-795 doesn't cross I-95, it is associated with it through I-695.

Orginial plans had the highway running further north and further south, into the City of Baltimore along a similar route to that of the Metro Subway, than its current termini. Plans to extend the highway beyond its current configuration have not been sought out by highway officials in Maryland.
