Its southern terminus is at an intersection with Interstate 39 and Interstate 90 in Beloit, Wisconsin; its northern terminus is in Green Bay, Wisconsin at an intersection with U.S. Highway 41.

I-43 north of Milwaukee was originally planned as a northern section of Interstate 57; it would not have run concurrently with Interstate 94 in between.
